A Soul-Centered Sangha

THE
WEAVING

For Initiation, Restoration, and Collective Awakening

Diverse hands weaving a luminous net around the Earth

We were never meant to do this alone

You know who you are

You've felt the dissolution and the heaviness of the world, the falling apart of who you thought you were, what you thought you knew... and the strange grace hidden inside that unraveling.

You're carrying medicine that doesn't quite fit into the tidy boxes you were given. Asking to be lived, not labeled.

You dwell in both-and.

Science AND Spirit

Breakdown AND Breakthrough

Rational AND Mystical

Individual AND Collective

Wound AND Medicine

Witnessing AND Participating

Logic AND Intuition

Seen AND Unseen

And if you are honest, you are weary of walking this terrain alone.

You long for others who can understand that the liminal is not a detour, but a weaving of possibility and transformation, together.

What we're creating

A Community of Becoming

The Weaving is a community of becoming, a living, breathing vessel rooted in the wisdom and the integration of the Divine Feminine. A tapestry where the collective itself becomes medicine.

We are weaving a different kind of space, one that honors initiation without pathologizing it, that practices horizontal power rather than hierarchy, and meets the shadow not as something to transcend.

Becoming is something we engage with together, it's relational. Held with intention. What takes form here is not predetermined, it is birthed through participation. Each person bringing their needs, offerings and unique ways of seeing. In this exchange, an emergent aliveness weaves us together, the field begins to organize itself.

Growth is not driven, but cared for. Everyone's gifts and edges are part of this circle. Through listening, reciprocity, and witnessing, we tend this becoming, trusting what unfolds in the space between us.

What Guides Us

Our Values

Curiosity Generosity Reciprocity Receiving Authenticity Vulnerability Witnessing Allowing Embodiment WHAT GUIDES US

Each of these allows the other to exist. We come with our gifts flowing freely, understanding that receiving and truly allowing others to be in service is itself a gift. This breaks the transactional model. We practice gift economy within capitalist reality, and yes, we name that tension.

How We Move

Presence & Process
over
Performance & Results

"How can I feel closer to you?"

This question organizes us. Connection and curiosity create community. Everything we do - every gathering, every ritual, every structure - happens in service to deepening our relatedness, not to producing outcomes or demonstrating progress.

Experience

We move from our head and rest in our bodies

Experiment

We try, we fail, we learn, we try again

Express

We value aliveness in creative expression and deep relatedness

Sacred Geometry

The Structure

We're building The Weaving in concentric circles, organized by the sacred geometry of 9, a pattern that honors completion and wholeness.

Right Fit

Who This Space Is For

This circle tends to support people who...

  • Are comfortable being mid-process
  • Can listen as much as they speak
  • Are willing to sit with slowness and not-knowing
  • Want shared reflection rather than guidance
  • Are open to both being supported and holding others
  • Are navigating transition, initiation, or creative awakening

This space may not fit if you are...

  • Looking for coaching, mentoring, or advice
  • Seeking clear answers or fixed outcomes
  • Wanting a leader to orient your life around
  • In need of crisis or one-to-one support
  • Uncomfortable with silence, ambiguity, or shared responsibility

This is not a place to start from zero. We expect you're already doing your own work - in therapy, embodiment, shadow practice, somatic healing, being in nature. We provide the container to deepen into those spaces and feel held in the transition.

Honest Framing

What This Isn't

We're not offering therapy or clinical training. We're not teaching a method or certifying practitioners. There's no guru here to follow, no blueprint to execute, no optimization to achieve.

We're not here to bypass shadow or jump to the light. We face what is in front of us, what we need to see. While holding space for dissent, for doubt, for the "no" that makes the "yes" real.

Right Now

The Founding

We're inviting the first 27 founding members - the people who will shape this culture from the beginning, who will co-create this container together and hold it as it forms, who will be the cultural DNA.

What Becomes Possible

The Possibility

We're declaring a world where we hold each other through community, through the dark time and into the next phase of our world. Where initiation is honored. Where we weave science and spirit back together, individual and collective, structure and emergence. Where the practice is showing up, and the ritual is what emerges from collective presence.

This is the world we choose to inhabit.

Questions

Common Questions

Is this therapy?
No. The Weaving is a peer community, not clinical treatment. If you need individual therapeutic support, please seek a qualified therapist. This is a companion container, not a substitute for personal clinical work.
Is this certification or training?
No. This is not professional development or credentialing. It's community for practitioners already doing the work. No certificates, no curriculum, no outcomes to demonstrate.
Is this virtual or in-person?
Initially virtual, but ultimately we expect to build in real-life gatherings. We're building a virtual platform for global connection, with regional pods for embodied depth over time.
How do I know if I'm ready?
If the dissolution and shadow language resonates. If you're actively in shadow work. If you need peers who understand initiation. If "be the goo together" makes perfect sense. If you're already doing your own therapeutic or somatic work and looking for a peer circle to go deeper in.
What if I miss a gathering?
Monthly gatherings are recorded. You can watch recordings in the member area for events you miss. We understand life happens. Show up as you are able.

Soil & Seeds

Recommended Reading & Essays

Books and essays that inform the soil from which The Weaving grows.

From Linnea Butler - How Healing Happens
Community as Medicine: Healing the Loneliness Epidemic
Why we need each other to heal

This essay articulates the core premise of The Weaving: that community itself is medicine, and our loneliness epidemic requires collective healing, not individual optimization.

Integration Happens in the Dark
On shadow work and the necessity of darkness

Linnea explores why we must descend into shadow to integrate, why darkness isn't something to transcend but to befriend. Essential for understanding our shadow work foundation.

Wisdom of the Shambhala Warrior: Surviving Dark Times Through Wisdom and Insight
Breakdown as training for collective healing

On Joanna Macy's prophecy and how shadow work prepares us for what's coming. Speaks directly to the Shambhala Warriors in Training archetype.

From Julie Schmidt - Walking the Liminal
The Inversion Wound: Remembering Community in an Age of Isolation
From collective trauma and separation to relational healing and belonging

Julie's recent essay that articulates the core wound The Weaving addresses: the polarization of wholeness, the suppression of the feminine, and how we heal through community.

The Restorative Power of Possibility
From problem-fixation to spacious becoming

Julie explores how possibility isn't denial or bypass but a living field where multiple futures can breathe - one that requires nervous system regulation, community declaration, and the courage to stay with uncertainty.

Weaving the Opposites Back Together: Where the Outlawed Parts Return
From forced polarization to the fertile tension of the liminal

Julie illuminates how the threshold space between opposites - the Mandorla - isn't weakness but the sacred geometry of becoming, where contradictions breathe together and wholeness exists as spectrum.

Recommended Books
  • Community: The Structure of Belonging
    Peter Block

The foundational text for how we think about community. Block shows that transformation happens through small, consistent groups and that leadership is about listening, not leading.

  • Soulcraft: Crossing into the Mysteries of Nature and Psyche
    Bill Plotkin

A guide to descending to soul through nature and psyche. Plotkin maps the journey from ego to soul, offering practices for those being initiated. This is the heroine's journey - descent, not ascent.

  • When Things Fall Apart
    Pema Chodrön

Buddhist wisdom for being with dissolution without trying to fix it. Chödrön teaches us to lean into groundlessness, to befriend uncertainty, to find the tender heart in the broken-open places.

  • After the Ecstasy, the Laundry
    Jack Kornfield

What happens after awakening? Kornfield brings spiritual practice down to earth, into relationship, work, family, and the messy human experience.

  • The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World
    Robin Wall Kimmerer

A meditation on gift economy, gratitude, and sacred reciprocity in nature. Essential for understanding how The Weaving moves beyond transactional models.

  • Extraordinary Knowing
    Elizabeth Lloyd Mayer

A psychoanalyst's journey into the realm of intuition, telepathy, and knowing beyond the rational mind. Rigorously researched yet open to mystery. Perfect for polarity walkers.

  • Coming Back to Life
    Joanna Macy & Molly Brown

Macy's framework for moving through grief, despair, and disconnection into collective action. Practices for the Shambhala Warriors.

  • Owning Your Own Shadow
    Robert Johnson

A brief, accessible introduction to Jungian shadow work. Johnson shows how we become whole not by rejecting darkness but by integrating it.

  • Braiding Sweetgrass
    Robin Wall Kimmerer

Blends scientific botany with Indigenous wisdom. Explores the reciprocal relationship between humanity and the natural world.

  • The Chalice and the Blade
    Riane Eisler

An exploration of history and possible futures from a distinctly feminine perspective, exploring our earliest history and the partnership model.

  • Kin of Ata Are Waiting for You
    Dorothy Bryant

A slim, mystical novel about a community that dreams together. Fiction that reads like prophecy. It captures what we're attempting.

  • The Turning Point
    Fritjof Capra

Written in 1982 but prophetic. Capra articulates the shift from mechanistic to systems thinking, from domination to partnership, from parts to wholes.
